In the Islands of San Andres and Providencia, the gastronomy has a great caribbean and creole influence. The typical dish is called Rondón: it's a coconut milk soup made of fish and pork meat. You'll also find any seafood you like with a caribbean touch, coconut milk, rice, fried plantain and depending on the season, the delicious "bread fruit" from the region.
As the island is located quite far from the continent, it's not always easy to find good red meat or even poultry, so we prefer to recommend Donde Francesca where you'll enjoy delicious rice dishes with all kinds of seafood, or Fisherman Place, where all the fishermen have their own restaurant, if you want to try a good Rondón. Also, La Regata is a gorgeous restaurant located in the yacht club of San Andres.
